Missing motorcyclist found 15 hours after crash

Police have located a motorcyclist who went missing whilst riding on Saturday night.

The 30-year-old Delahey man was travelling along Colac-Lavers Hill Road and was being followed by a friend when they became separated about 7.40pm on 26 Dec.

This was about 15km from their planned rendezvous point at Colac-Lavers Hill Road and Beech Forest-Lavers Hill Road intersection.

When the 30-year-old rider from Delahey failed to arrive, his companion raised the alarm.

Local police with the assistance of the Air Wing and State Emergency Service searched the area overnight and into Sunday morning.

He was located by police about 10.30am this morning after crashing his motorbike down an embankment on the Colac-Lavers Hill Road, and has been airlifted to hospital in a serious condition.
