Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) are on scene at a bushfire burning near Peninsula Developmental Road and the Scherger RAAF Base, Mission River. This fire broke out earlier today and crews are working to contain the blaze. Smoke may affect Mission River and surrounds. If affected, residents are advised to close windows and doors. Those suffering from a respiratory condition should keep their medications close by. Motorists are advised to drive with caution and to conditions. If residents are concerned their property is under threat are advised to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
