Mitchell Shire projects to receive funding support

Four key open space and recreation projects in Kilmore, Seymour and Wallan worth $3.14 million can now go ahead thanks to $2.56 million funding from the Victorian Government's Growing Suburbs Fund (GSF).

Mitchell Shire Council will provide $580,000 to deliver the projects including $1.1 million for stage two of Ryans Creek Reserve in Kilmore, $1 million for a new central cycle and natural trail at Wallan Community Park, $140,000 for a new play space at Greenhill Reserve and $900,000 to upgrade the accessible play space at Chittick Park in Seymour.

The latest announcement sees almost $27.8 million being provided to Mitchell Shire Council from the Growing Suburbs Fund.

This, and other grants, has funded nearly 30 projects totalling more than $41.5 million in the past seven years.
