Mitta Mitta Flow Advice 12 May

MDBA

Landholders and river users, including pumpers, on the Mitta Mitta River are advised to take into account the forecast releases of water from Dartmouth Dam and make any necessary adjustment to their river activities.

This week, releases from Dartmouth Dam remain around 200 megalitres per day (ML/day), as no transfers are currently required from Dartmouth Dam to Hume Dam.

Looking ahead, beginning Friday 22 May 2026, an increase in releases from Dartmouth Dam is forecast to target a maximum of around 1,000 ML/day and then slowly return to 200 ML/day by Tuesday 26 May 2026.

This low-level pulse is to provide for variable flow rates in the Mitta Mitta River and is within the required rates of rise and fall. After this pulse, releases will remain around 200 ML/day for the remainder of the month.

Please note system conditions may change. Another flow advice will be issued as release requirements change from those listed.

Check the Bureau of Meteorology to receive the latest weather information including warnings, river conditions and rainfall in your area:
