A resident of Mona Vale on the Northern Beaches of Sydney was left astounded after her Set for Life ticket secured her the division one prize of $4.8 million.
This fortunate woman clinched the solo division one winning entry in the Set for Life draw 2998, which was held on Saturday, 21 October 2023. With this win, she will receive monthly installments of $20,000 for the upcoming 20 years.
On realizing her big win, the woman shared her disbelief with lotto officials, saying: “I woke up this morning in a complete daze and I thought maybe it was all a dream".
Looking ahead, she is set to enjoy a monthly deposit of $20,000 into her bank account on the 15th of every month. The newfound financial freedom means she can now consider early retirement.
"I’ll be able to retire which is unbelievable!” she exclaimed.
Her winning ticket, a five-game QuickPick, was bought from Nextra Newsagency Mona Vale, located at Shop 11 Pittwater Place Shopping Centre, 10 Park Street.

The winning numbers for the Set for Life draw 2998 on 21 October 2023 were 44, 33, 23, 21, 1, 22, and 16, with supplementary numbers 17 and 43.
