Monash University has launched a new platform to bring personalised, simulation-based career development to every Monash student.
Building on the University's commitment to future-focused, student-centred learning, the new CareerEdge platform was built using Monash's in-house ATLAS (Authentic Teaching and Learning through Adaptive Simulations) technology and co-designed with students and educators.
The new platform is an on-demand student support platform offering guided practice in core career skills, including job interview simulations.
Monash CareerEdge is part of the University's Career Impact offering - a diverse ecosystem of career-focused programs that connect students with over 2,500 industry partners and deliver guaranteed, real-world learning opportunities designed to shape authentic, purpose-driven careers.
Monash's Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Experience) and Senior Vice-President Professor Sarah McDonald said Career Impact at Monash reflects the University's deep commitment to preparing students for lifelong, meaningful careers - not just for their first job.
"With the launch of Monash CareerEdge and its simulated, real-time scenarios, we are giving our students a cutting-edge, accessible and personalised career development tool that has the power to amplify their success in entering the workforce," Professor McDonald said.
Purpose-built at the University by Digital Transformation Senior Lecturer Dr Joel Moore, Monash CareerEdge has already supported more than 9,000 students who have had over 12,000 simulated conversations across all the test platforms.
"We developed Monash CareerEdge in collaboration with students to reflect their goals in engaging with career preparation while they're still studying," Dr Moore said.
"It supports the University's rich career support ecosystem by giving our students a safe, flexible space to practise key skills, shape their professional identity and feel more confident when stepping into real-world situations.
"Monash CareerEdge complements our in-person programs and makes that support more accessible for all students, especially those who may not know where to start."
