Everyday Victorian families are being hit hard by cost-of-living pressures.
Minister for Carers and Volunteers Ros Spence today opened the Good Shepherd Craigieburn site backed by a $5.1 million boost to the Good Money Program, enabling families to buy everyday necessities with an interest-free loan.
It's about helping families in need to get the essentials - whether that's a new fridge, a visit to the dentist or a car to get to work, school and appointments.
Last year more than 7,400 loans were given to families - now we'll deliver more than 9,400.
Labor's investment adds to the existing sites in Collingwood, Dandenong, Geelong and Morwell operated by Good Shepherd.
Families can visit the storefronts to access loans to purchase white goods, furniture and technology needs, as well as access financial counselling and support.
Good Money loans can also be used for medical and vet bills or a bond on a new rental property.
Families are facing new challenges. Only Labor has new solutions to make life easier, safer and more affordable.
Liberals have no solutions - just cuts.
