Morrison Government's Perth South Jobs has thousands of jobs on offer

The Morrison Government's Perth South Jobs Fair will bring together local job seekers and businesses across Perth on Tuesday 7 September 2021 at Optus Stadium.

There will be more than 3,000 jobs on offer at the fair, including in manufacturing, transport and logistics, Government and defence, health care and hospitality which will all play a key role in continuing our economic recovery.

It is the 40th jobs fair conducted via the Jobs Fair program which received a significant boost through the Morrison Government's Federal Budget.

Minister for Employment, Workforce, Skills, Small and Family Business, Stuart Robert, said the jobs fair will promote a wide range of opportunities for job seekers looking to get into work.

'The Morrison Government is committed to connecting job seekers with businesses looking to hire, as we continue our recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic,' Minister Robert said.

'Creating jobs and boosting the skills of Australians to help them get back into work is at the heart of our Economic Recovery Plan.

'Continuing the strong momentum we've seen in the local labour market, we want as many job seekers as possible to upskill and reskill and get work in their communities.'

Assistant Minister for Youth and Employment Services, Luke Howarth, said certain sectors of the economy are experiencing a strong demand for workers.

'We know there is a real need to fill vacancies across the labour market, which is why the Perth Jobs Fair is so important,' Assistant Minister Howarth said.

'We are committed to helping job seekers find employment opportunities, whether they're looking in Perth or somewhere else in Western Australia.

'We encourage jobs seekers to attend the Jobs Fair as they will hear first-hand from employers about what they look for when hiring. This fair will also give jobs seekers the opportunity to meet people and network.'

Member for Swan, Steve Irons, said the Perth Jobs Fair would be a great opportunity for those across the community looking for work or looking for a career change engaging everyone to check out what is on offer.

'It is really exciting to see so many Jobs on offer right here in our backyard, the Perth Jobs Fair shows our commitment to connecting Australians with job opportunities,' Mr Irons said.

'The fair will help match businesses and job seekers to give them each the opportunity they need to get ahead.

'It presents an exciting opportunity for West Australians who are starting or looking to change their career.'
