The rider of a motor scooter has sustained serious leg injuries after a crash involving a van at Matraville this morning.
The crash occurred on Beauchamp Road near Jennings Street, when a man riding a motor scooter and a van collided about 6am (Monday 11 February 2019).
The rider has been taken to Princes of Wales Hospital suffering serious leg injuries while the driver of the van has been taken to the same hospital for mandatory testing.
Beauchamp Road is closed to all traffic between Bunnerong Road and Rhodes Street; it's expected to be closed for some hours as the scene is examined, and the wreckage cleared.
Traffic diversions are in place.
