Motorbike Rider Dies After Crash - Hunter Valley

A motorbike rider has died following a crash at Howes Valley this morning.

About 10am (Friday 13 March 2026), emergency services were called to Putty Road following reports of a crash.

At the scene, police were told a motorbike and car had collided on a bend.

The rider of the motorbike was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, was unable to be revived.

While yet to be formally identified, the rider is believed to be aged in his 60s.

The driver of the car – a man aged in his 80s – was taken by road to the John Hunter Hospital for the treatment of minor injuries and mandatory testing.

The passenger of the car – a woman aged in her 70s – was airlifted to the John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.

Inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash are underway by Hunter Valley Police District.
