Motorist Dies After Hamilton Collision

Sadly, a woman has died in hospital following a two-car collision in Hamilton last week.

Emergency services were called to the Coleraine Road scene, at the intersection of the Coleraine Road slip lane, on Friday 19 June about 5.15pm.

The 83-year-old driver and sole occupant of one of the vehicles was taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition where sadly she succumbed to her injuries over the weekend.

The 25-year-old male driver of the other vehicle, who wasn't injured, stopped at the scene to render assistance.

Hamilton Highway Patrol will prepare a report for the Coroner.
