Mount Helena Incident

Midland Detectives are seeking information regarding an incident in Mount Helena last night, Friday 2 June 2023, which resulted in two people receiving burns injuries.

About 6:25pm police were called to vehicle fire near the corner of Honey Street and Mill End in Mount Helena. Upon arrival at the scene it was established that in addition to the car being on fire there were two people with burns injuries.

A woman aged in her 30s received serious burns injuries and was flown to Fiona Stanley Hospital by the RAC Rescue helicopter.

A man aged in his 40s received less serious burns injuries and was taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital by St John WA.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is ongoing.
