Would you like to hear more about the Mount Morgan pool redevelopment and pipeline project? Head to the Mount Morgan School of Arts next Wednesday to learn more about these projects and provide your input.

Rockhampton Region Mayor Tony Williams said Council will be hosting a Community Information Session on 9 November from 3pm to 7pm and is encouraging community members to come along.

"This is a chance for Councillors, Officers and myself to share information, answer questions and discuss two vital projects for the Mount Morgan community," Mayor Williams said.

"If you're unable to attend the information session, don't worry, you can still have your say on the pool redevelopment by completing a survey to share your thoughts.

"The aim of the survey is to help us capture the community's feedback so we can gain an understanding of what they want before we progress to the final design stage.

"Community members can complete the survey online, drop into the Mount Morgan Customer Service Centre and complete a hard copy, or attend the community information session.

Parks, Sport and Public Spaces Councillor Cherie Rutherford said Council values the feedback of the community and the information session and survey are an opportunity to hear directly from residents.

"The pool holds a special place in the heart of the Mount Morgan community, and we want to ensure we are listening to feedback," Cr Rutherford said.

"By having Councillors and Officers available for one-on-one chats at the community information session, as well as gathering feedback via the survey, we are hoping that this will mean everyone's questions are answered and opinions are heard," Cr Rutherford said.

Water Councillor Donna Kirkland said she is looking forward to providing an update on the pipeline project.

"The project is full steam ahead, and at the information session Council will be providing some updates and more information so the community knows how it's progressing and what to expect," Cr Kirkland said.

"We know how much the pipeline and pool mean to the community so it will be a great opportunity to have a chat and catch up about these projects."

The Community Information Session will be held at the Mount Morgan School of Arts on Wednesday 9 November from 3pm until 7pm. A BBQ and soft drinks will be provided.
