Council extends its sincere thanks to Mount Morgan residents and businesses for their efforts to conserve water over recent days.
The community's strong response to requests to limit non-essential water use has helped local reservoir levels recover following recent firefighting operations.
As a result, voluntary water conservation measures are no longer required, and residents and businesses can return to normal water use.
Restrictions remain in place however for water trucks accessing water from Council hydrants. Operators are advised that taking water from hydrants on the Mount Morgan water supply network is prohibited until further notice, to support the ongoing management of local water supplies.
These restrictions do not apply to water used for firefighting or emergency response activities.
