Multi-Party Agreement Strengthens Australia's Climate Policy

Perth, AUSTRALIA -- Fortescue welcomes the announcement of multi-party support for strengthening Australia's climate policy architecture.
While there is more work to do on the existential need to transition to green energy, the negotiations have built a scheme that incentivises real reductions in emissions.
Moving forward, Fortescue's decarbonisation plan aims to demonstrate that achieving real zero (not net zero) by 2030 is not only possible but profitable.
We will continue to forcefully advocate for all policymakers to understand and implement the science highlighted by the IPCC. There is no time to wait for 2050, we must act today and these legislative amendments are an important step forward.
