Murray River Police Charity Ball Tickets Selling Fast

With just over a month to go, the gold sponsor has been announced for the upcoming Murray River Police Charity Ball, which this year, will raise money for sick children and their families.

Launched in 2022, the Murray River Police Chairty Ball is held every two years and has raised an incredible $65,000 for charities, including the Albury Wodonga Health's Children's Wards and NSW and Victoria Police Legacy.

Joss Group has been announced as the Gold Sponsor for the event. Based in Albury, Joss Group specialises in construction management and the building of commercial and industrial projects.

In 2026, the charity ball will raise money for Ronald McDonald House, which helps keep families together, while their children are provided vital medical care. Ronald McDonald House provides a range of services including the Ronald McDonald Family Room, which provides a comfortable place for families to stay within or close to major hospitals, while their child receives medical treatment.

Dignitaries attending the event include the NSW Police Southern Region Assistant Commissioner Joe Cassar APM and Ronald McDonald House CEO (Victoria and Tasmania) Peter Bishop.

Murray River Police District Inspector Troy Martin said he's grateful for the support from the local community.

" It's great to have Joss Group come on board as the Gold Sponsor, we thank them for their support, because without local businesses support, this event wouldn't be possible. We're also really pleased to have the SS&A Club on board, who will host the Charity Ball and generously donated towards the fundraising total," Inspector Martin said.

Live auctions this year will include;

  • NSW Police Force Airwing tour as a PolAir flight.
  • NSW Police Force Marine Area Command tour and cruise around Sydney Harbour in one of their police vessels
  • 2026 Deniliquin Ute Muster Pack – Two Corporate tickets, reserved camping area, Helicopter flight over the arena/township and merchandise pack
  • Police Shield hand painted by artist John Dynon – Outback Art Gallery, Silverton.

This year's event will be held on Saturday 27 June 2026, at the SS&A Club in Albury.
