The sweet sounds of the Seniors Concert will return to Lake Mac next month, with two shows planned for the beloved event's reprise.

Performances will be held at two venues for up to 190 people at Rathmines Theatre on 1 February and Warners Bay Theatre on 8 February.

The concerts will feature local Music in the Podium sensation 'Jumpin Jukebox Duo' and the dulcet tones of Tom Jones act 'Broderick Jones', who will perform a collection of the Welsh icon's greatest hits.

Lake Macquarie City Council Ageing and Disability Support Officer Peta McGrath said the return of the concert as part of the NSW Seniors Festival would be a popular addition to the events calendar.

"We received a lot of feedback that our community really missed having the Seniors Concert during the pandemic," she said.

"It can be difficult for members of our ageing community to make the trip to Sydney to enjoy the musical offerings of the Seniors Festival, so bringing that spark to Lake Mac for local people to enjoy is something Council is delighted to be able to do once again."

Warners Bay Theatre and Rathmines Theatre are both accessible venues.

Both shows start at 10am.

Bookings to the free concerts are essential and can be made from Monday 16 January when tickets go live online at lakemac.com.au or by phoning 4921 0333.
