A hard-working farmer from Muswellbrook is ploughing ahead with a pep in her step after scoring $1 million in a recent Weekday Windfall draw.
The Upper Hunter resident held one of four division one winning entries nationally in Weekday Windfall draw 4754 on Friday 11 September 2026. She pocketed a clean $1 million.
As her winning ticket wasn't registered to The Lott Members Club, we had no way of contacting her with the life-changing news and instead had to wait for her to come forward.
"I'm still a bit numb!" she laughed.
"I checked my ticket Saturday morning, and I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
"It's funny because I'll get a ticket now and then, but I never think anything more of it. I certainly never expected this.
"It's just amazing. I can't believe it."
When asked how she planned to use her newfound treasure, the winning woman was too stunned to make any immediate decisions.
"I've not thought about it at this stage," she said.
"I live on a farm so there's a lot of things that need to be done
"I think I'm just in so much shock. I'll have to let it sink in."
Her winning entry was purchased from Southside Newsagency, Shop 2, 27-29 Maitland Road, Muswellbrook.
Southside Newsagency manager Leah West and owner Pankaj Monga said they were ecstatic when they discovered they sold a division one winning entry.
"We were absolutely thrilled! Our first thought was how life-changing this win would be for the lucky winner," they said.
