Delivered under the National AI Plan, AI.gov.au brings together practical guidance, tools and resources from across government in one place. It gives businesses, not for profits and other organisations a clear and trusted place to start when using AI.
A front door for AI
AI.gov.au makes it easier to find clear, practical and trustworthy information about AI.
The platform helps organisations to:
- understand where AI can add value
- plan how to use AI
- support team members through AI change and adoption
- understand risks and good practice
- find tools, resources and case studies to build capability.
Informed by user research and engagement
The first release of AI.gov.au draws on user research and engagement with industry and government, including insights from work through the SaaM AI Adopt Centre.
This work helped clarify what organisations need most when starting out, including:
- where to begin and what to consider as part of strategy and planning
- how to engage people across the business
- what risks to consider when using AI or extending its use across the organisation.
Supporting safe and responsible use of AI
AI.gov.au helps organisations understand how they can use AI, what value it can bring, and what to think about before investing.
It will also support the work of the AI Safety Institute by making guidance on AI safety easier for SMEs to understand and use.
