Nationals team for the future
The federal leader of the Nationals, David Littleproud has released his revitalised Shadow Ministry team.
David Littleproud said the Shadow Ministry targets generational renewal while drawing on the experience of two former Deputy Prime Ministers.
"The Nationals have secured six members in the Shadow Cabinet including the Trade portfolio," David Littleproud said.
"The trade portfolio has had a long and proud history with the Nationals, including with party greats John McEwen and Doug Anthony.
"The Shadow Ministry line-up is revitalised with new and promoted members. It is the future of the Nationals.
"There are five women in the Shadow Ministry, including three in Shadow Cabinet.
"The Nationals are in the crucial ministries that affect the lives of those in rural and regional Australia.
"This is the team that will vigorously hold the Labor Government to account and will be the strong voice of the Nationals constituents.
