
The program is run by Victorian National Parks Association and promotes environmental literacy and stewardship of nature through discovery, action, and ongoing learning.
The program awards a certificate on completion and supports participants in training and volunteering, thereby generating benefits for the wider community and the environment.
It's a great way to gain knowledge, learn practical skills and meet like-minded others in the local community.
Program information
- Runs over 10 weeks (April and June 2026)
- Course covers rocks, soil, fungi, plants, and animals, climate change and seasons.
- Ways to care for Country and private property.
- Being a citizen scientist, conservation volunteer, advocate for nature, or a nature guide.

- 10 x Weekly classes (3 hours)
- 4 x Field sessions (4 hours)
- $175 Full fee (Monash residents), $87.50 Concession (Monash residents), $350 Full fee (non-Monash residents).
