Police have laid 28 additional charges against a former swim instructor at court today, following an investigation into allegations of sexual abuse.
Detectives from the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad commenced an investigation following reports two girls – aged six and eight – had been sexually touched on separate occasions during swimming lessons at a Mosman pool last month.
A 20-year-old man was charged by investigators on Tuesday 12 March 2019.
Following further investigations, the man was charged with an additional 28 charges at Manly Local Court today (Wednesday 20 March 2019).
The charges include eight counts of sexual intercourse with child under 10, six counts of intentionally sexually touch child under 10 years, and 14 counts of indecent assault person under 16 years of age.
Police will allege in court the man sexually abused a further six girls – aged between six and 10 – on separate occasions during lessons at the Mosman pool between June 2018 and March 2019.
Investigations are continuing.
