Nedlands hit and run

Wembley Police are attempting to identify the driver of the blue utility (pictured) to assist with their investigation into a hit and run crash that occurred in Nedlands on Wednesday, 11 August 2021.

Around 3.50pm an 87-year-old male cyclist was riding south on Loch Street. A blue utility, towing a dark coloured 'caged' box trailer was following behind him.

At the round-about at the intersection with Carrington Street the cyclist rode through followed by the blue ute.

Upon leaving the round-about the driver of the ute immediately overtook the cyclist, but when returning the left of the road the trailer has struck the cyclist causing him to fall to the roadway.

The cyclist was conveyed to Sir Charles Gardiner Hospital where he was treated for facial injuries.
