Candles and lanterns will illuminate a celebration of Latin American culture at the Velitas y Farolitos Festival next month, proudly supported by the City of Greater Geelong.
The Geelong Latin American Movement (GLAM) is one of eight recipients of the new Christmas category of our 2025/26 Community Events Grants program.
A total of $42,200 in funding has been awarded to eight local community groups to support family-friendly festivities, including carols, markets, creativity and cultural celebrations.
Among the highlights is the Velitas y Farolitos (candles and lanterns) Festival at Norlane ARC on Saturday 6 December, promising a vibrant mix of music, cuisine and connection.
