Bensley Road Reserve is getting a revamp, with a major upgrade to the reserve's clubhouse now underway.

Mayor Darcy Lound turned the first sod on the project today alongside Gunners Soccer Club President Gary Phillips.

The $2.55 million project will deliver an expanded clubhouse featuring new changerooms, referee's room, meeting room, BBQ area, canteen facilities, storage rooms and outdoor spectator area in addition to paving and landscaping at the entrance to the reserve.

"Bensley Road Reserve is the long-standing home of Gunners Soccer Club, on of Campbelltown's largest clubs, supporting a significant number of junior and senior players in Macquarie Fields and the surrounding area," Mayor of Campbelltown Darcy Lound said.

"This project will significantly improve the clubhouse facilities and create a more welcoming and accessible environment for players of all ages, as well as coaches, officials and spectators," Cr Lound said.

The project is expected to be complete in mid-2026, weather permitting.
