New Community Partnership program announced for regional WA

  • $1.1 million Community Partnership program launched for regional WA
  • The program will support community initiatives across regional WA
  • Eligible groups can apply for partnership support of up to $50,000
  • The McGowan Government, through Horizon Power, is providing $1.1 million in community partnership funding to support the revitalisation of regional Western Australian communities post COVID-19.

    Horizon Power will increase its community partnership funding, offering up to $50,000 to individual organisations.

    The funding can be used to support ongoing community programs, as well as one-off initiatives or events which address one or more of the following:

    • encourages community activation;
    • is accessible to all;
    • is free or very low cost to attend;
    • supports the wellbeing and good health of the community.

    Round one applications will open today (July 19), with local information sessions being delivered across regional WA.

    A limited number of grants are also available for eligible organisations that can demonstrate financial hardship as a result of the pandemic, which has impacted their ability to deliver services.
