New era of learning at McLeans Road Kindergarten

Sparking imaginations and inspiring friendships, the newly redeveloped McLeans Road Kindergarten in Bundoora was officially opened this week by Ingrid Stitt MP, Minister for Early Childhood, alongside Chair Administrator Lydia Wilson.

The former single-room kindergarten has been replaced with a state-of-the-art two-room facility, to provide fun and interactive learning for the centre's 95 young students.

Striking the perfect balance of structured and creative play, the kindergarten's modern outdoor area is feature-packed with play equipment and natural elements, designed to delight and inspire Bundoora's budding learners.

City of Whittlesea Chair Administrator Lydia Wilson said that the $4.1 million redevelopment of McLeans Road Kindergarten supports the growing demand for three- and four-year-old kindergarten programs and gives children the tools they need to successfully transition into primary school.

"Kindergarten programs play such an important role in guiding children to develop strong social and problem-solving skills and encourage a lifelong love of learning," Ms Wilson said.

"With a history spanning back to 1977, we're so pleased we've been able to fully redevelop and modernise the facility to welcome the next generation of students to McLeans Road Kindergarten."

McLeans Road Kindergarten is located at 151 McLeans Road, Bundoora.
