New Facilities At Greenwood College Officially Opened

Education Minister Sabine Winton has officially opened a brand new sports hall and administration upgrades at Greenwood College.

The new sports hall includes indoor courts, change rooms, amenities, storage, and staff studies area.

These upgrades form part of an $18.4 million election commitment to Greenwood College.

As part of the works, the college's existing gym was converted into modern drama and dance facilities. The existing drama room was repurposed into a staffroom, and the existing dance room transformed into purpose-built STEM facilities.

Parry and Rosenthal Architects were commissioned to design the project, with Devlyn Australia Pty Ltd awarded the building contract.

The Cook Government will continue to prioritise delivering quality education infrastructure for Western Australian students and families.

As stated by Education Minister Sabine Winton:

"I am pleased to officially open these fantastic new facilities at the start of a new school year.

"These modern spaces provide contemporary learning environments for students and staff in sporting, performing arts and STEM programs.

"They are another example of our government's strong commitment to ensuring all Western Australian students learn in quality educational facilities that prepare them for their future."
