Mornington Peninsula Shire has strong relationships with many local community service providers, and our collaboration with these organisations and groups has achieved great outcomes for our community.

Today, we're launching a grant tailor-made for community service providers. The Service Provider Grant can help your organisation facilitate special programs, events and campaigns addressing social issues that have been worsened by COVID-19.

We want to support projects where internal and external stakeholders work together to deliver COVID-19 recovery activities.

Our focus is on five priority areas, including:

  • Employment: programs, events and campaigns to build confidence and capacity in people who lost their jobs because of the pandemic.
  • Mental health: programs, events and campaigns to encourage people whose mental health suffered during the pandemic to seek help.
  • Family violence: programs, events and campaigns focusing on family violence prevention.
  • Social isolation and loneliness: programs, events and campaigns to foster social inclusion, health promotion, physical activity as well as access and equity.
  • Youth support: programs, activities and campaigns co-created and led by young people to promote engagement, positive wellbeing and community connection.

Applications for funding up to $25,000. Applications open 28 March and close 2 May 2022.
