New Junction Island Viewing Platform Under Construction

Wentworth Shire

Wentworth Shire Council wishes to advise residents, businesses and visitors that construction of a new viewing platform is underway at the western end of Junction Island, Wentworth.

Works commenced on Monday 18 August 2025 and are scheduled for completion by late October 2025.

During the construction period, the existing viewing platform and the far western end of the walkway will not be accessible. At certain critical stages, the full walkway and bridge from the Two Rivers Ski Reserve carpark on Ski Reserve Road will also be closed. These closures will be kept to a minimum and clearly signposted in advance.

Council apologises for any inconvenience and appreciates the community's patience and understanding throughout the delivery of this important project.

Council looks forward to welcoming residents, businesses and visitors to the new viewing platform upon completion.
