The Allan Labor Government is delivering three new regional parks that will unlock 350 MCGs worth of open space in Melbourne's growing outer suburbs for families to enjoy.
Minister for Environment Steve Dimopoulos today released draft master plans for the new Clyde Regional Park and the Werribee Township Regional Park which are both now open for community feedback.
The draft master plans have been developed based on feedback from the community, along with extensive specialist surveys and design work to ensure the parks are accessible for all and are safe.
The new Clyde Regional Park will deliver 120-hectares of open space for Melbourne's south-east. The park is located next to proposed housing in Clyde South and a future sports precinct - offering a way for residents to get out and explore the outdoors close to home.
The Werribee Township Regional Park will join up with the existing Presidents Park and Riverbend Historical Park, delivering more than 340 hectares of parkland and connecting the thriving Tarneit and Wyndham Vale communities to nature trails, shared use paths and the beautiful Werribee River.
The three parks are part of the Labor Government's $315 million Suburban Parks Program which will deliver more than 6,500 hectares of open space to the growing outer suburbs of Melbourne.
These regional parks will provide accessible green open spaces for dog walking, bird watching or relaxing in nature - and locals won't have to travel far to enjoy it.
Feedback on the draft masterplans will close on Thursday, 27 November 2025.
