New Study Australia Employability Hub is live

International students who study with Australia now have access to a new online Employability Hub, offering customised resources designed to help prepare students for the global employment market.

Housing tailored employability information and tools for Australia’s prospective, current and former international students, the new Hub also brings together location-specific information from across federal, state and territory governments.

As well as providing a gateway for students to connect with opportunities to improve and enhance their employability, the Hub also includes the following new features:

  • The Study Australia Work Readiness Program offering a free microcredential to anyone seeking to successfully navigate the jobs market, including new content on entrepreneurship
  • The Study Australia Industry Experience Program bringing students located around the world into small project teams, together with other international and Australian students, to work directly with employers in Australia and globally on real-world industry projects
  • Volunteer and industry experience information, allowing international students to explore a range of ways to improve their during-study and post-study employment prospects.

Ms Melissa Banks, Head of International Education Centre of Excellence at Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) said, “Recent sector disruption has resulted in rapid enhancements and innovation in Australia’s digital services for students, including in education and training delivery.”

“By providing a range of work-related resources in one location, in a simplified easy-to-follow format, the new Employability Hub is helping students connect to the skills, courses and opportunities they needed to achieve their personal and professional goals.”

The Employability Hub is one of many new features at the Study Australia website being developed under the Digital Education Hub initiative, including the upcoming Partner Hub which will house tailored resources for education agents and representatives of Australian education providers globally in communications with prospective students.
