The Secretary of State has appointed Caroline Hope as a Trustee on the Historic Royal Palaces Board for a three year term from 9 January 2026 to 8 January 2029
Caroline Hope
Caroline Hope is a Partner at Deloitte and Chair of the Board at YoungMinds. Caroline brings experience in strategic leadership and organisational transformation. Her expertise extends to stakeholder engagement, with a particular focus on ensuring the voices of young people are central to decision-making.
Having begun her 20 year career in social work, she remains a passionate advocate for social justice, diversity and inclusion. Through her consultancy work with Deloitte she has focused on improving the experiences of front line staff and the people who use public services. Her experience includes leadership development, innovation, system transformation and service improvement in safeguarding, children's services, regulation, adult social care and mental health.
Caroline is the UK regional sponsoring partner for Deloitte's LGBTQ+ network, 'Proud at Deloitte' and a volunteer for Re-Engage as a 'Rainbow Caller'.
Caroline Hope has been appointed for a term of three years, commencing on 9 January 2026.
Remuneration and Governance Code
Trustees of the Historic Royal Palaces are not remunerated. This appointment has been made in accordance with the Cabinet Office's Governance Code on Public Appointments . The appointments process is regulated by the Commissioner for Public Appointments. Under the Code, any significant political activity undertaken by an appointee in the last five years must be declared. This is defined as including holding office, public speaking, making a recordable donation, or candidature for election.
Caroline Hope has declared no political activity.
