The Australian Government is today releasing the consultation report for a national one-stop shop that will enable clinical trials and health and medical research to be assessed and managed in a single place.
Importantly, it will provide information to patients about clinical trials relevant to their condition.
The Health and Medical Research Advisory Group, chaired by Professor Ian Chubb AC, guided the consultation on behalf of all jurisdictions via the Clinical Trials Project Reference Group.
More than 1,400 stakeholders took part in the consultation through workshops, focus groups, meetings, webinars, surveys and written submissions.
The National One-Stop Shop builds on the new accreditation scheme for trial sites in health services under the National Trials Governance Framework, which remains a national priority.
