Nominations for the 2022 Western Australian Nursing and Midwifery Excellence Awards (WANMEA) are now open (external site).

These highly prestigious awards recognise excellence across 11 nursing and midwifery categories.

Nurses and midwives from all sectors of health care, and from both metropolitan and rural areas are eligible.

Judged by an expert panel that represents a broad cross-section of the nursing and midwifery professions in WA and includes consumer representation, these Awards are an acknowledgement of our nurses and midwives who go above and beyond to improve outcomes for health consumers across the state.

The WANMEA is in its 17th year and is supported by the Minister for Health.

Nominations close 29 November 2021. Finalists will be announced in March, with final winners declared in May 2022.
