Do you know someone who's made an amazing contribution to the community this year? Then nominate them for the 2026 Community Citizen of the Year Awards.
Organised by Auspire - Australia Day Council WA, in partnership with the City of Fremantle, the Awards are a great opportunity to recognise individuals and groups who have made a positive contribution during the current year, or those who have given outstanding service over several years.
There are four categories:
- Community Citizen of the Year (16 years and over)
- Senior Community Citizen of the Year (65 years and over)
- Young Community Citizen of the Year (16-30 years)
- Active Citizenship (group or event)
Their contribution or service can be in any area that enhances community wellbeing such as education, health, fundraising, charitable and voluntary services, business, sport, arts, the environment or social inclusion.
To be eligible, nominees must live, work or volunteer in the Fremantle area.
The 2026 Community Citizen of the Year nominations close on Friday 31 October 2025.
