Nominations Now Open For 2025 WA Heritage Awards

Nominations are open for the prestigious 2025 Western Australian Heritage Awards which celebrate excellence in the conservation, adaptive reuse, interpretation, tourism and promotion of the state's rich cultural heritage.

Now in their 33rd year, the awards highlight best practice across a diverse range of heritage activity - from conservation and interpretation to tourism and adaptive reuse - while raising community awareness about the last value of heritage places.

A new category introduced in 2024, Conservation or Adaptive Reuse of a Local Heritage Place recognises outstanding work undertaken on places included in a local heritage list, and the lasting benefit these projects provide to local communities.

The Contribution by an Organisation category has also been expanded to reflect the wide range of organisation making a difference in the heritage sector. Community-based, non-profit, public or private organisations, local governments and State Government agencies are all encouraged to nominate.

Award categories for 2025:

  • Voluntary Individual Contribution
  • Professional Contribution
  • Contribution by an Organisation
  • Interpretation Project
  • Heritage Tourism
  • Conservation or Adaptive Reuse of a Local Heritage Place
  • Conservation or Adaptive Reuse of a State Registered Place
