North Ballina - planned water outage

North Ballina - planned water outage

Council wish to advise that the drinking water service will be temporarily unavailable for some residents in North Ballina from 9am to 3pm on Thursday 4 November 2021. During this time no drinking water will be available via internal or external water outlets.

Impacted residences include:

  • North Creek Road (between 69 North Creek Rd and 264 North Creek Rd)
  • Whiting Way
  • Edgewater Cove
  • Trevally Place
  • Mulloway Place
  • Sweetlip Place
  • Teraglin Place
  • Bonito Place
  • Corks Lane
  • Palm Lake Resort
  • Bupa Aged Care

Ballina Shire Council makes every effort to minimise water disruptions to our community. However, this essential work will allow Council's contractors, Hazell Bros, to carry out infrastructure works as part of the Airport Boulevard project. The Airport Boulevard project is progressing well and on track to finish by December 2021.

Tips to prepare for a temporary water outage:

  • Store drinking water in preparation for the interruption.
  • When water returns it may be discoloured. This is due to sediment. Please run the tap until your water runs clear.
  • Your water may appear milky. This is caused by small air bubbles. Don't be alarmed it is not harmful, and will settle in a short period.
  • Please leave taps off during the interruption, as water may return at any time.

Council thanks impacted residents for their patience during these essential works.
