A 21 year old man will appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today as a result of an incident in Northbridge last night.
Around 11:15pm on Saturday 8 July 2017, Perth Police and Bike Patrol officers saw several men fighting near the corner of Lake and James Streets, WA Police say.
It is alleged when police attempted to arrest one of the men involved, he struggled with officers before breaking free and running away.
Police followed the man on foot and apprehended him in an alleyway area behind a business in Lake Street.
It is further alleged, during the arrest the man bit two police officers on the arm.
The 21 year old man of Banksia Grove has been charged with:-
•Two counts of Assault Public Officer;
•One count of Disorderly Behaviour; and
•One count of Obstruct/Hinder/Resist Public Officer.
