The Northern Grampians Shire Council Online Business Directory has been revamped and relaunched to ensure our business community has a strong digital presence.

The local business directory is a free service to all businesses within the shire with self-managed business profiles that allows businesses to be found easily by residents and visitors.

The database is home to local producers, products and services provided by businesses with categories to cover all services and industries in the region.

By listing on the business directory, businesses have the opportunity to market their products and services to around 11,000 residents in the Northern Grampians and thousands of visitors each year.

It only takes a few minutes to log on and set up a profile for your business, you don’t need to be a computer whiz and you only need to include as much information as you feel is necessary.

Council has also produced an instructional video for businesses to show them how to set up a profile on the directory that can be viewed any time on our website.

Northern Grampians Shire Council Mayor, Murray Emerson, said the online directory will make more local businesses visible than ever before.

“We know that most people get their information about businesses from social media and websites but many of our small businesses don’t have the time and resources to set up and manage a big online operation,” he said.

“Council’s online directory allows for businesses that are not yet online to be seen in the digital world with minimal input that won’t take time away from providing the great services our business community provides.

“Our Business Support Team is also here to help with any questions business owners and managers may have about the online directory or general questions about doing business in the Northern Grampians Shire.”
