From 20 to 22 February 2026 the Dubbo Region will welcome over10,000 participants, officials and spectators for the NSW Touch Junior StateCup – Northern Conference.
Residents may experience changes to traffic conditions includingroad closures to support the increase in traffic for the event.
Temporary road closures for the event will be in place from 7pmThursday 19 February to 7pm Sunday 22 February 2026 and include:
• Sandy Beach Roadfrom Ian Drake Drive to South Street
• Bligh Streetfrom Bultje Street to Macquarie Street
• Ian Drake Drivefrom Bligh Street to Sandy Beach Road
• South Streetfrom Bligh Street to Tamworth Street
Temporary road closures between 5am – 7pm (daily) from 20 Februaryto 22 February:
• Tamworth Streetfrom South Street to Macquarie Street
• Tamworth Streetfrom Macquarie Street to Brisbane Street
• Macquarie Streetfrom Cobra Street to Tamworth Street (local residents only)
Sandy Beach car park will be closed from 9am Monday 16 February to9am Monday 23 February 2026.
Motorists in the South Dubbo area are advised to avoid MacquarieStreet and use Brisbane Street or Darling Street to access the CBD.
Unless accessing services in this area, motorists are asked toavoid the intersection at Bligh Street and Bultje Street.
Variable Message Signs will be in place prior to the event,displaying messages to support traffic conditions.
