NSW police probe home invasion

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a home invasion in Cabramatta West overnight, NSW Police say.

About 12.30am (Tuesday 13 November 2018), four men forced their way into a home on Edensor Road armed with pieces of wood and a pistol.

The family of five – including two parents, their adult son and daughter and their grandmother - were home at the time and confronted the armed men.

The son was assaulted with a piece of wood, and the grandmother was pushed to the ground as the four men demanded money.

The men ran from the location heading west on Edensor Road towards Meadows Road with the son’s wallet. No other property was taken.

The injured family members were treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene and did not require further treatment at hospital.

Officers from Fairfield Police Area Command have established a crime scene and a sull investigation is now underway.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
