NHG Health's inaugural E3 (Educate, Elevate, Evolve) conference, held on 15 to 16 April 2026, was marked by a new partnership with NTU Singapore, signalling a significant step in advancing healthcare education through interdisciplinary collaboration.

NHG Health's Institute for Humanistic Medicine (HuMe) and NTU's Centre for Health, Culture and Society (CHCS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) during the conference's opening ceremony on 15 April.

The collaboration aims to strengthen healthcare professions education and research in Singapore and the region by integrating clinical humanistic practice with interdisciplinary scholarship in medical humanities and social sciences.

The partnership will promote high-impact, interdisciplinary research at the intersection of humanistic medicine, health humanities, and social sciences. NHG Health and NTU will also co-develop new educational programmes that integrate clinical perspectives with insights from the humanities and social sciences, providing more holistic training for healthcare professionals.

A significant focus of the collaboration will be enhancing capacity building in essential skills, including communication, medical ethics, cultural humility, and relational care.

NHG Health's inaugural E3 conference brought together more than 500 healthcare educators and professionals for two days of experiential learning at the Ng Teng Fong Centre for Healthcare Innovation.

The successful launch of the inaugural edition of E3 and the new NHG Health-NTU partnership demonstrates the partners' ongoing commitment to advancing healthcare education through innovation and collaboration, with a continued focus on maintaining compassionate, patient-centred care as the foundation of medical practice.
