NTU Singapore held its 17th China Convocation at the Intercontinental Chongqing Raffles City on 20 September, with more than 300 graduates attending the ceremony.
Since 2006, NTU has hosted China Convocation ceremonies in cities across the country for students from the following postgraduate programmes:
- Master of Business Administration (Nanyang EMBA)
- Master of Science (Finance)
- Master of Science (Technopreneurship & Innovation)
- Master in Educational Administration
- Executive Master of Public Administration
- Executive Master of Science in Managerial Economics
- Master of Science in Managerial Economics
- Lien Ying Chow Legacy Fellowship
In his China Convocation address, NTU President Professor Ho Teck Hua encouraged graduates to seek purpose in their careers as they embark on the next chapter of their lives, noting that a strong sense of purpose will help them navigate challenging times.
This year marked the first China Convocation attended by Professor Christian Wolfrum, NTU's Deputy President and Provost, who joined the University on 1 July. A distinguished scientist, Prof Wolfrum is an expert in metabolic research.
A highlight at this year's ceremony is a graduation song composed by NTU Vice President (Innovation & Entrepreneurship) Professor Louis Phee and performed by NTU alumni. The song features Hailey, NTU's hyper-realistic GenAI ambassador.
