In the latest QS World University Rankings, NTU Singapore is placed 12th globally, up from 15th last year, securing its place among the world's best universities.
The youngest in the top dozen, NTU stands shoulder to shoulder with some of the world's most established universities, matching their excellence while offering a fresh, focused, and forward-looking perspective.
At just 34 years old, NTU is already a powerhouse - unhindered by tradition, and unafraid to disrupt and pioneer the future from its vibrant, smart campus that is a living laboratory of innovation and technology.
NTU President Professor Ho Teck Hua said: "NTU's strong showing in this year's QS rankings reflects its constant efforts to reimagine itself amidst a rapidly changing world.
"For example, last year we launched the new College of Computing and Data Science to better prepare our students for the AI Revolution. This year we launched the Honours College, where we empower students to harness technology for the good of society," he said.
On NTU's performance, QS Senior Vice President Ben Sowter said: "NTU Singapore's continued rise in the global rankings reflects its remarkable ability to combine academic excellence with cutting-edge research and a strong commitment to innovation.
"The university stands out for its future-oriented approach, from pioneering work in sustainability and smart technologies to its deep collaborations with industry and government. NTU is not only contributing to Singapore's knowledge economy but is helping shape solutions to some of the world's most pressing challenges."
In line with NTU's commitment to pioneering research and academic excellence, Prof Ho and his leadership team has been actively recruiting talent from around the world who are driven by a deep curiosity and passion for scholarly inquiry.
"NTU continuously strengthens its faculty talent globally, bringing in exceptional, early-career academics through the Nanyang Assistant Professorship programme and attracting renowned scholars worldwide, seizing opportunities as they emerge," Prof Ho added.
NTU improved its scores in employer and academic reputation this year, cementing its position as a globally premier institution. The University also scored highly for its research intensity and volume as measured by faculty citations and scored full marks for its international faculty index.
