NZ police arrest two men after Central Auckland altercation

Two people have been arrested following an altercation in Central Auckland overnight.

The incident occurred on Galway Street about 1am.

Two men were taken to Auckland Hospital with serious injuries.

A 31-year-old man has been charged with wounding with intent to injure and methamphetamine possession for supply.

A 33-year-old man has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Both are due to appear in Auckland District Court tomorrow (Monday 15 April).
