NZ police in attendance at North Shore Hospital - update

Police have established a package that prompted the evacuation of some staff at North Shore Hospital this afternoon is not suspicious.

Police, along with Fire and Emergency NZ and the NZ Defence Force, were earlier called to the hospital and some staff were evacuated as a precaution.

However, enquries have since confirmed the package is not suspicious.

Cordons have been lifted and staff have been allowed back into the building. Police are still at the scene.
