A second person has died after the two car crash that occurred on Cambridge Road, Rotoorangi, around 1:40pm today.
One person remains in hospital in a serious condition.
The Serious Crash Unit is still at the scene of the crash, with diversions in place.
Police thanks motorists for their patience while the road remains closed.
