Police can now release the names of the two men who died following the crash on Cambridge Road, Rotoorangi, on Thursday 25 April.
They were 86-year-old Mervyn Robert Williamson of Te Kuiti and Shane Gerrad Lingman of Te Awamutu, 55 years old.
Police offer their sympathies to the families of the men at this difficult time.
The investigation into the crash continues.
