Police are now in a position to release the name of the motorcyclist who died in the crash at the intersection of Riccarton Road and Hansons Lane, Upper Riccarton on Friday, 4 June 2021.
He was Andre Augusto Fernandes, 35, originally from Brazil.
Police extend sympathies to his family at this very difficult time.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
